Broomfield High School
An important part of the Broomfield community, Broomfield High School offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes Advanced Placement courses as well as extensive enrichment programs and vocational studies. The school also offers an intensive special education program that integrates students with special needs. Broomfield High’s diverse athletic program ranges from football, basketball and soccer to golf, tennis, swimming and much, much more. The school also offers many co-curricular activities like yearbook, student government, orchestra and band and many other programs and clubs.
Legacy High School
Broomfield’s Legacy High School supports each student by providing opportunities and setting high expectations for academic achievement. The Legacy 2000 program is an intense, 4-year program that utilizes real-world experiences and professional expectations to prepare students for careers in math, science and technology. Legacy offers an extensive curriculum including core studies in math, science, and English as well as enrichment courses in the humanities like music, drama and art.
Broomfield Heights Middle School
A neighborhood school, Broomfield Heights Middle School offers a friendly, supportive environment for grades 6-8. The school’s unique inter-disciplinary teaching methods as well as advisor-advisee classes give students an academic and social foundation. In addition to traditional curriculum, the school provides students with a variety of exploratory courses in art, music, technology and language. The students are also required to take courses in physical education and health. After school opportunities include a multitude of clubs as well as intramural sports.
Aspen Creek K-8
Serving students from Kindergarten to 8th Grade, Aspen Creek strives to create strong, long-term relationships with students and families and creates an easy transition from grade to middle school. Broomfield’s Aspen Creek encourages each student to grow as an individual while holding students to high academic expectations. As students transfer to middle school grades, they are placed into teams and given exploratory learning options in language, art, music, technology and physical education.
Westlake Middle School
Broomfield’s Westlake Middle School focuses on learning by supporting each individual student and maintaining expectations of academic excellence. In addition to the traditional middle school curriculum, Westlake Middle School offers a variety of electives including art, industrial arts, health, physical education, technology, music and world languages. The school also has a Gifted and Talented program as well as an Honors program. After school activities include intramural sports, jazz band, student council, as well as a variety of clubs.
Kohl Elementary School
Broomfield’s Kohl Elementary School focuses on the whole child buy supporting them not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well in a nurturing environment. Kohl has a strong special education program with multi-intensive classrooms and resource teachers. Kohl has a gifted and talented program as well as a solid literacy curriculum. Kohl offers extra-curriculars and activities such as choir, chess club, student council and more.
At Birch Elementary, high teacher expectations and parent support go hand in hand to ensure that each unique student reaches their potential. A traditional Broomfield elementary, Birch has a strong parent volunteer base as well as community support. Students are supported through hands-on learning, inquiry-based exercises and real life scenarios. Student responsibility and attitude is key, and the school’s positive behavior system creates an atmosphere for positive self image, acceptance of others and safety. Birch Elementary offers an enthusiastic arts program that includes studio art, instrumental music, choir and theatre.
Broomfield’s original elementary school, Emerald Elementary was built in 1958 and continues to be a valued neighborhood school today. Emerald’s focus is a literacy-based comprehensive curriculum as well as high academic and social standards. The health and wellness of students are supported in Emerald’s many after school activities. Emerald Elementary has a strong parent support base. In order to support a diverse population, Emerald Elementary provides an English Language Learning program.
Coyote Ridge Elementary
Coyote Ridge Elementary in Broomfield couples high academic expectations with a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages collaboration with the community. With a focus on innovation and creativity, Coyote Ridge applies district and state standards to a broad curriculum.
Mountain View Elementary
Mountain View Elementary, located in Broomfield’s Brandywine subdivision, strives to provide a comprehensive curriculum and to ensure success for all students. Mountain View also offers art, music, physical education and technology. Extra-curricular activities include Chess Club, Student Council, Sports, Yearbook, Math Club and Reading Club.
Centennial Elementary School
The success of each individual child is the goal at Centennial Elementary in Broomfield’s Westlake subdivision. Students are encouraged to cooperate and be a part of the larger school community.
